Alex Kacala - Hornet (Associate Editor)
Alexander Kacala has been an active and engaged voice in LGBT media since January, 2013. His passion for writing and the LGBT community were first utilized by G Philly, an auxiliary gay men's lifestyle publication of Philadelphia Magazine, as Contributing Editor.

After, Kacala contributed content to various LGBT and mainstream media outlets including NewNowNext, Philadelphia Inquirer, Huffington Post Queer Voices, Philly.com, Pride.com and Frontiers.

In 2016, Kacala became the Editor-in-Chief of Next Magazine, New York's gay guide since 1993. During his time at Next, he extensively raised the iconic brand's online presence and traffic.

Currently, Kacala is an Associate Editor at Hornet Stories, the editorial news site powered by gay social networking app Hornet. In its latest iteration, Hornet users can now access original content as well as international gay city guides, all in one app and one website. No other gay media company has thus far combined all three types of content into one setting.

Kacala specializes in creating content about New York City, dating, sex, pop culture and travel. He proudly lives in Manhattan.
